A complete list of what EQUATOR stores in your browser. It is short: one cookie type for keeping you signed in, two local storage entries for your theme and your answer to the cookie notice, and a few session storage entries that let the demo and the college/high-school toggle survive moving between pages. Nothing for advertising, nothing for tracking, nothing shared with anyone.
EQUATOR uses one cookie type — the one that keeps you signed in — plus a small amount of browser storage to remember your theme and which view you were in.
There are no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no third-party analytics, and nothing that follows you to other websites. We do not sell or share any of it.
You choose whether the optional part is kept. The sign-in cookie is essential and is always used, because without it nobody can sign in. Remembering your theme is optional. Press Accept or Reject on the notice at the bottom of the page, or use the buttons above to change your answer at any time.
Exactly one category: authentication.
When you sign in, Supabase Auth — the service that handles our logins — sets session cookies in your browser. They hold your session token, and they are what lets you move between pages without signing in again on each one. They are set on our own domain and read by our own server.
These are strictly necessary. Without them there is no way to know you are signed in, so there is no way to show you your roster. Blocking them means you cannot use the platform at all.
They expire when your session does, and signing out clears them. EQUATOR itself never writes a cookie directly — there is not a single line of code in the platform that sets one outside of Supabase Auth.
Two kinds, both stored only in your own browser. Neither is sent to us, neither is readable by any other site, and neither contains anything about you beyond what is listed here.
Local storage, which persists until you clear it:
Session storage, which your browser discards the moment you close the tab:
Stated explicitly, because absence is hard to verify from the outside and a list of what a site does not do is more useful than a promise that it behaves well.
Use the Accept and Reject buttons at the top of this page to change your choice whenever you like. Switching to Reject deletes your saved theme straight away.
You can also clear cookies and site data for equatorfootball.com in your browser's settings at any time. Doing so signs you out and resets your theme to the default; nothing else is lost, because nothing else is kept there.
You can also block cookies for this site entirely. The public site, the demo and these legal pages will still work. Signing in will not, for the reason given above.
Session storage clears itself when you close the tab, so it needs no management.
If we ever add analytics, or anything that tracks behaviour across visits, we will update this page before it goes live and say clearly what it is and how to refuse it. We would not add advertising or cross-site tracking to a platform holding data about minors, and if that position ever changes it will be announced rather than discovered.
